Het hout wordt hierbij aan de lijn (of uit de zaagmachine) langs de printkop getransporteerd en gecodeerd. Indien UV-uithardende inkten worden ingezet wordt er ook nog een behuizing met een drooglamp achter geplaatst. Afhankelijk van de gewenste afdrukresolutie zijn hierbij zeer hoge snelheden haalbaar.
